Silly lass, this was the third annual Browncoat Ball! It moves every year, and 2008 will be in Austin. You simply must plan to attend--it's the high society event of Firefly fandom.

Do a google image search for "Browncoat Ball" to see stuff from years past. (Wait a week or so, and images from the most recent will surely be on the 'net.)

I don't know the exact dates yet, but it's always right around the end of September (the Sereniversary). If it's the weekend after FenCon like this year, you could combine the trip.
