The Alamo Drafthouse, that is . . .
Specifically, forget about my hopes of playing "The Ballad of Joss" at the Alamo Drafthouse's Firefly marathon this September.
I can't believe they turned down my offer--I didn't even ask them for money. It's like no one will respect or value what I'm trying to do.
Mrrrrr.

Thanks, Jenny
Well, to be fair, the owner of the Alamo was very kind in his note turning me down. He mentioned that he liked the songs and was hoping to get us there for some other event. I wrote back suggesting that we could play for a Serenity movie event if he decides to have one, and he said he was negotiating that with Universal. Considering that Universal has been really supportive of grass-roots efforts to promote the film, I figure there's a good chance they'll get to do an event. Whether we get to play it or not . . . Well, we'll see.August 2 2005, 22:15:27 UTC 6 years ago
Except the, wait. what was it? Oh yes, 3,000 plus people who have listened to it already, and the loyal fan base who hangs on to your every word.
Silly man..
Be safe on the road.
